Baker Falls Dispatch

All the news, if you can believe it

As we all emerge from hibernation, Baker Falls is in bloom. With the weather getting warmer, we are throwing open our doors and meeting new people as a community is discovering our weird little spot on the globe.

New Cafe Menu

We’re pleased to announce that the upstairs hangout has added a new menu to our selection of espresso and drip from Afficionado Coffee Roasters.

You can sit and chill or swing by for hot/iced coffees to go. The cafe has taken on a life of its own, offering what we think is a pretty unique experience: you can come by around happy hour and you will hear artists soundchecking for their sets that evening.

The cafe opens at 10am, and if you’re hungry, we have another announcement to make…

We’ve partnered with career-changing seasoned hospitality veteran Dave the Butcher to bring fresh, farm-based toasted sandwiches from the Hudson Valley straight to your mouth. The meats are handmade, and the veggie option is called the TomWaito sandwich.

They Like Us, They Really Like Us

Here’s a fun write-up in cultural staple Paper Mag for our bonkers new weekly comedy show: Marley’s Mind, produced by our old pals Naked Comedy from the groundbreaking Cake Shop Comedy days (hosted for many years by Kate Berlant, John Early, and Jacqueline Novak).

Photo blooper with silly founder Nick Bodor and recently shadowbanned host Marley Gotterer

Here are some great photos from Brooklyn Vegan of a concert you may have missed last weekend… it was loud and amazing… we like to be the spot for launching tours.

People are turning out for our Retail Market. Join the next one this Sunday, April 7th from noon to 5pm… come day drink (mimosas available), have a coffee, get a sandwich, and buy bespoke, lovingly handmade sundries. Or, if you want to sell some of your treasures, email us at [email protected].

More blooming on the way, stay fresh everyone, and remember… downtown is a state of mind.
