All the news, if you can believe it

Partnering with Our Pals (Again)

We’ve told you about the upcoming New Colossus Festival at Baker Falls… now we’re telling you that BrooklynVegan will curate its first-ever showcase at the festival (March 7th), and we’re pretty psyched about it. BrooklynVegan has been a crucial publication for the music scene in New York and beyond, and it feels great to bring them into the fold and give them the freedom to highlight eight of their must-see bands. It’s especially beautiful to reconnect them with a local festival after the CMJ Music Marathon sadly came to an end in 2015. Tickets HERE.

Another Packed Weekend

Friday night we’ve got the Living Roomers headlining.

Saturday night we’ve got Big Girl headlining with a tour kickoff — followed by an evening of people who are About to Cry at Goth Night while also dancing to more genres than we can count on one hand… but somehow with a good through-line. Just the way we like it.

On Sunday night, Superblush will be headlining to make you forget you have the Sunday Scaries.

Happy Leap Year

Join us Wednesday February 28th for Fashn and Steele FC, artists we’ve been watching and excited to see and hear in real life.

The next night, we’re letting comedians take over Baker Falls on the last (extra) day of the month because we think the concept of Leap Year is funny.

To learn more about everything in this Dispatch and then some, check out our new website, which provides a layout of the Baker Falls ecosystem and how you can get involved. It’ll make you realize that Downtown is a State of Mind.™

The Week Ahead

And this Sunday don’t forget to swing by 101 AVE A from noon to 5pm for coffee and day drinks as you browse our Makers, Zines, Clothing, and Mustache Wax(!) from Brooklyn bee hives at our first Retail Market.

Vendors, we still have a couple slots available, shoot us “what you got” at [email protected].

PS: Lille (our Head of Retail) made the sick flier above by cutting out letters from our Bartender Angus’ old wrestling print magazines. Didn’t we tell you we’re a collaborative, open-minded bunch?
